CrossFit since? My first CrossFit class was in February 2017 and I continued for 5 months before we moved back to PA. I just started back again this February after about a 1.5 year break.
What class times do you attend? 0530
How did you find CrossFit Condor? I needed a change from just working out at home and the gym at work. I turned to Google and Condor was at the top of the list.
First memorable CrossFit experience? Lying on the floor for what felt like forever after my 1st WOD. I was used to just lifting heavy and doing cardio after my training so it was a huge shock to my system.
What is your biggest challenge that you overcame? It seems silly but it was actually attending the free intro class back in February. I had just taken 6 months off without exercising due to a shoulder injury. I wasn’t happy with how I looked or felt so a change was necessary but I felt extremely shy and nervous to start.
What do you love most about CrossFit? It’s never boring and forces me to do the movements I don’t like. Especially burpees!
What do you love most about CrossFit Condor? The people! Everyone is extremely supportive and I never feel judged. When I see other members giving it their all it helps push me to work harder. The coaches are all amazing and have really helped me with my lifts and staying motivated.
Favorite movement or workout? Anything with heavy deadlifts.
What is your favorite thing to do on rest days (hobbies)? Going on hikes with my Husband and kids.
CrossFit advice for new members? Don’t get caught up in what other people are doing because everyone is at a different point in their journey. No one cares how much you’re lifting as long as you’re giving it your all!
